I came across an incredible video article about the airline industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, airlines around the world grounded thousands of airplanes. Because maintenance needs remain, and atmospheric conditions may harm the giant machines, airlines must store planes in special places called “boneyards.”
An unexpected implication of the pandemic shutdowns, grounded planes gobble up space and attention. Airlines must find ground space to park planes, as well as figure out how to keep up with the location and maintenance needs of each plane. An incredible, logistic challenge results. And the challenge will continue when these planes take flight again. Watch this intriguing video article.
