I have always been a miserable reader of fiction. I’m not miserable while reading fiction (well, maybe the Star Trek-y sort of fiction). I would like very much to grow at this, so I’ve been slowly increasing my diet of fiction; especially some short stories to help me get more adept at reading, analyzing, understanding, appreciating and writing fiction. I think it’s working.
Sometimes I think maybe I’ll write a novel. Not to be published, of course. It could never be that good. Just to be practiced.
You’re right: I probably won’t.
But I don’t know. Maybe I will.
